Bad Touch have just released their latest single, a rockin’ cover of Kiki Dee’s 1974 top twenty hit “I’ve got the Music in Me”. Taken from their recent album “Kiss the Sky”, the Norfolk rockers’ version of this blue-eyed Soul classic is both an homage and a 21st century refresh to one of the defining tunes of the ‘70s. Replacing the soul vibes of the original with a full-on rock treatment is a bold move that really works. The new single features Horns, gospel-style backing vocals, and blistering guitar solo adding extra layers of interest to a song that has all the makings of an absolute classic rocker. This is a song that grabs your attention and will bury itself in your ear and having you humming along for days later.
The Video for the song, produced and directed by Gun Hill Studios, has Bad Touch performing the track live in the studio. Equally attention-grabbing, the video gives a good indication of how exciting a live performance by Bad Touch will be, with Vocalist and archetypal front man Stevie Westwood giving his absolute all in this exciting performance. And that is what this video is, a performance – Replace the studio walls with a concert stage with all the lighting, throw in a few shots of the crowd going wild and this could be Bad Touch live and on tour (they will be in March/April 2021).
