With just a day to go until fans are welcomed back to Riverside Festival, there is plenty to be excited about. The return of Riverside coincides with this week’s Jubilee Bank Holiday, treating fans to an incredible three day weekender from Thursday 2nd – Saturday 4th June. As we approach the festival’s 9th edition, organisers have revealed the essential guide to RF22.

The line-up

After what was an unforgettable return to the dancefloor in 2021, Riverside is back with another line-up celebrating the best in cutting edge electronic music. Charlotte De Witte, Carl Cox and Róisín Murphy will be headlining RF’s 2022 instalment alongside an eclectic array of over 60 artists.

Across three stages, Maximum Pressure and Electric Frog who curate the festival will welcome an abundance of global heavyweights, as well as some of the most exciting emerging local names with a programme showcasing Glasgow’s own ever-expanding underground scene. Thursday is a celebration of all things techno with a roster boasting Glasgow’s very own Slam, Robert Hood and a rare live set from FJAAK; before Joseph Capriati joins London duo Overmono, DJ Boring and KiNK who’ll be bringing his stunning live show to the banks of the River Clyde on Friday – plus many more.

On Saturday, the third and final day, one of Glasgow’s much loved Shoot Your Shot club nights will be taking over the Waterfront Stage with a host of amazing artists and some of the city’s best performers. Hosted by Pink Pound – with visuals from Georgina PenstkartJob Jobse,  HAAi, I.JORDAN and more will be joining the party, as well as New Orleans’ Queen of Bounce herself Big Freedia who will be making her Scottish debut.

Exclusive Merchandise

Organisers are delighted to announce an exclusive design collaboration with Glasgow-based label Forty Clothing. Fans will be given the opportunity to get their hands on a limited edition ‘God Save Our Queens’ T-shirt. With only 100 available on sale on the Saturday, it’s first come first served so get down early!

The Afterparties

Those who want to keep their feet moving after the main festival closes can look forward to RF By Night. Across each day of the three-day Jubilee Bank Holiday weekender, everyone can keep on dancing in a series of late night parties only a stone’s throw away in the SWG3 warehouse complex. Slam, Helena HauffIndia Jordan, ABSOLUTE and many more will be joining the party, making RF By Night a late night festival in itself.
