London-based duo, lavender, aka Adam Jackson (instrumentalist and vocalist) and Oskar Rice (producer and beatmaker) are thrilled to announce their debut EP, ‘all will be well’, set for release via foundation.fm records this Autumn. Today, they also reveal the video for new single ‘secure’ featuring the Bay Area based producer and rapper, EaSWay.

The rising duo bring together their far reaching tastes to one focal point culminating in a laid back indie-meets-hip-hop sound pallet. After a turbulent year for all, this EP delves into the relatable realities of isolation. Created in creative stints ‘all will be well’ tracks the talented duo’s journey over the past year and the coinciding ups and downs.

lavender are the sonic equivalent to a sunny day, laid back chilled R&B meets woozy guitar riffs is their signature sound. To offset the darkest times of the pandemic, Rice and Jackson got in the habit of exploring the empty city of London on bike. Cycling in the cool breeze of the late night summer became the reset and inspiration they needed for ‘3:45/buslane’

‘secure’ is the soundtrack to rolling down Sunset Boulevard and features the authentic words of EaSWay who says; “To me secure is about taking care of yourself and making your goals and passion your purpose. As artists, we spend a lot of time on the craft. We chase ideas that start in our head till they hold physical space. Secure is an encouragement of that chase. Manifest, work, pray, meditate, practice; do whatever you do to make sure you’re securing that future, that success, that life, that bag.”

Track ‘peppermint’ is the starting point of lavender that encapsulates the feeling of being loose, playful and creative – the pairs ethos for music making. ‘blue’ is their most indie leaning single featuring producer nomoon and CHRISSY lends her velvet vocals on ‘constantly’. EP closer, ‘first bagel of the night’, ties in the pair’s admiration of gospel, indie, R&B and hip-hop and acts as a love letter to each other as they recognise and celebrate the support they gave each other in the most difficult period of their lives.

Lavender’s debut channels a remarkably smooth assortment of textures marking the emergence of London’s newest creative force not to be slept on.
