Over a year since its original release, Holly Humberstone’s cult track “Dive” returns in a brand-new light, reimagined with a guest vocal from rising star Asha Banks. A celebration of female friendship and connection, this reimagining marks a full-circle moment for one of Holly’s most intimate tracks. Originally released on Holly’s critically acclaimed 2024 EP Work In Progress, “Dive” quickly became a fan-favourite — a raw, aching ballad that lays bare feelings of doubt, longing, and self-reflection. Breakout actor and singer songwriter Asha Banks heard the song and added it to a personal playlist while filming My Fault: London, the global hit Prime Video film in which she stars as lead character Noah Morgan. “Dive”became an anchor for Asha’s portrayal of Noah — and so essential to her process that she successfully lobbied to have it included in the film’s closing scene. Since then, fans of the film franchise have embraced “Dive”, flooding social media with edits and tributes to the story’s emotional core. Holly and Asha surprised fans by performing a stripped-back version of “Dive” at Queen Caroline’s Temple in Hyde Park earlier this month, and recorded a beautiful live version, available to watch at 6pm BST.
“I had the pleasure of meeting & working with Asha a couple months back after Dive was featured on the My Fault: London sound track & I very quickly became a fan of hers. I asked her if she’d be down to record a new version of the song with me and im so excited for you all to hear it !! Asha’s dreamy vocals are unmatched and it’s been so cool to hang out & hear my song reimagined by someone sooo amazing 💕 We also performed a live version of the song before Asha’s show at BST and Asha seriously has the nicest, warmest fans …… thank u Asha I can’t wait for u guys to hear this very special version of Dive !!!!!! Love, Holly H xxxx”
“While I was filming a movie called ‘My Fault: London’ last year, Holly released ‘Dive’ and I became obsessed immediately, put it on my story and showed it to my directors who, like me, also loved it. A few months later I found out it was going to be in the movie – in the credits, just before my own song ‘Feel The Rush’ played! Every time I watch the film I get emotional hearing Dive play, so when Holly asked me to record a new version of the song with her it felt like such a full circle moment.Holly’s writing and voice is so magical and I feel so lucky to be alongside her on this new version- so I hope you love it as much as I do.” Asha
