MPF2024 announce day splits and launches Clashfinder App

Manchester Punk Festival is the latest event to confirm their line-up and day splits. All the days and times are listed on the Clashfinder App and webpage, so go and check it out and start planning now!

Now the most annoying thing about any festival are the inevitable timetabling clashes, which force you to choose between two or more of your favourite acts. Manchester Punk Festival have gone early and there’s now a little over 4 weeks to get the highlighter pens out. Available as an App through Woov or as a webpage, this tool takes some the pain out of that process. With the stellar line up that the organisers TNSrecords have managed to pull together for 2024, unless you’re one of those people who just like to wing it on the day, then you’re going to want to put some of those arguments to bed sooner rather than later. Of course other factors like the weather, venue capacity and your general state of inebriation or tiredness, can certainly derail any plans you may have made. However, Fail to Plan, Plan to Fail as the motto goes.

The headline acts for 2024 include A Wilhelm Scream, Pissed Jeans, The Bar Stool Preachers, Hot Water Music, Popes Of Chillitown, Witchfever, Random Hand and Grade 2. Not only that there are a lot of really good up and coming acts including Brighton teen punk sensations Noah & The Loners, who you really can’t afford to miss!

Last years event was one of the best and there were some absolutely amazing bands like The Meffs, Mollie Manders & The Shutup, The Meffs, DeeCracks, Petrol Girls, The Sewer Cats, Snuff, Piss Kitti and Bruise Control.

Spread across three days 19-31 March, or Easter as it commonly known, with over 140 artists from all walks of punk, the festival has it’s HQ at MMU Student Union, with 5 daytime venues all with in easy reach along the Oxford Road corridor. In order of capacity they are The Union, Gorilla, The Bread Shed, YES and Zombie Shack. Rebellion Bar on Manchester’s Deansgate Locks hosts the traditional late night “aftershow” events, which include some “covers sets” of such luminaries as Madonna, No Doubt, The Distillers and The Hives. There’s also some great comedy stuff, spoken word and numerous interviews and podcasts going on too!

They have a great YouTube channel with full sets from many of the bands who’ve played previous festivals. Check out the trailer from MPF 2023 below.

To find out more about the event and what’s on where, I suggest you head over to the main MPF2024 webpage for all the details. With more than 90% of the tickets already sold we suggest you don’t delay too long.
