Ladybeard announces new group
Japan based Australian pro-wrestler and heavy metal singer Ladybeard announces the formation of new kawaii-metal group, BABYBEARD.
Auditions were held in summer 2020, and Japanese idols KOTOMI and SUZU were chosen to be Ladybeard’s group-mates via an audition process from a pool of candidates from around Japan. The group returns Ladybeard to the 3-member group structure that produced the 2015 hit video “Nippon Manju” that made Ladybeard a global viral sensation. Musical geniuses Takashi Asano and Natsumi Tadano, the same team that made Nippon Manju, have created the first tracks for BABYBEARD.
The group is planning both domestic and global activities. After the challenges of 2020 and the pandemic, BABYBEARD hopes to bring smiles and encouragement to audiences all over the world in various languages, and also to give foreigners better access to the colorful world of Japan and Japanese pop-culture.
More info about the group can be found at the BABYBEARD social media accounts, listed below, and short versions of the first 2 tracks will be uploaded on April 19 and 20. Full versions then start streaming on streaming services April 28.
An adorable assault on the senses!
