JP Saxe returned home and performed for the second night of his headlining tour at Toronto’s Danforth Music Hall. Saturday 16th July 2022 – Words and Photography – Andrew Wu
This show was two years in the making after being postponed twice due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. And was the biggest headlining show for JP Saxe and to a home crowd which was a far cry from his last headlining show at the Drake Underground in 2020 in front of 150 people.
Supporting JP on tour is a musician Jessia, she is an upcoming pop artist who entertained the crowd with catchy pop tunes and played some notable hits such as her song, “I’m not Pretty,” and a cover of Avril Lavigne’s “I’m With You.” Jessia is from Vancouver, Canada.

JP Saxe embraced the stage with acoustic versions of his songs and intimate interactions with the audience. The excited crowd showed their support by singing every word of his songs throughout the night. JP Saxe ended the show by performing a new song the audience had never heard, called “Man Who Leaves.” JP Saxe brought out an outstanding concert that showcased his impressive songwriting that moved the audience.
JP Saxe, I highly recommended you to follow his music, you must catch his tour when he visits your location or country as you won’t be disappointed I will certainly be making sure I catch his show again when he returns to Toronto.
