Continuing their streak of certified dancefloor bangers, UK artist-producer duo Lost + Found – ØJM (Ollie Marland) & Tom Parker – have released their latest single ‘Searching’, out now via POSITIVA – Listen here.
With everything you’d want in a dance anthem, ‘Searching’ comes out the gate as a track with all the ingredients to be a festival essential this summer. Serving up feel-good house-piano and emotion melodies courtesy of GRAMMY nominated, MultiPlatinum singer-songwriter RuthAnne, ‘Searching’ is bound to invoke euphoria in anyone who listens.
On the new track, Lost + Found said “We knew as soon as this song was written it depicted who we were as artists. Ruthanne absolutely killed the vocal on this record too. She really brought the melody to life”
Last year, the duo released fan-favourite single ‘So Into You’ which has now surpassed a cool 3.5 Million Global Streams across platforms, making it their biggest song to date. The track saw support across Radio 1, KISS FM and Capital Dance. Over this time, the pair’s socials grew an impressive 400%, garnering attention on a new level.
Since 2019’s enigmatic debut release ‘We Belong Together’ and subsequent singles ‘Ghosted’ and ‘Tonight’, the multi-talented UK house duo have not so quietly notched up millions of streams. And having kept themselves busy during lockdown, they’re kickstarting the next phase of their career with singles ‘So Into You’ and now ‘Searching’ ahead of an avalanche of further new music that’s seen them collaborating with the likes of Snakehips, Joel Corry, Sigala, Cash Cash and Paul Woolford.
The beating heart of Lost + Found is a friendship that dates back seven years to the point when Ollie and Tom met on the live circuit. They were each focusing on other projects back then but over time their friendship naturally turned into a collaborative partnership. “I know you’re supposed to ‘suffer for your art’ or whatever but when we are together it’s easy, it’s fun and it’s quick,” Ollie laughs. “I’ve seen sessions in the past where a room full of people take all day to come up with half a verse. With Lost + Found the working day starts with chatting rubbish for three hours, drifts into working a bit, stops for a three-hour lunch, then ends with us banging out a song before hometime”.
