Lytham Green Transforms Into Party Paradise for Pitbull Concert

Lytham Green swapped its usual humble seaside scene for a full-scale Miami beach party as Pitbull spectacularly closed the Lytham Festival, which also featured earlier headliners like Teddy Swims, Alanis Morissette, Michael Bublé, and The Pet Shop Boys.
The gig was highly anticipated, as many fans wearing “Pitbull” wigs and carrying Earth balloons descended onto the trains from as far as Preston and headed to Lytham to catch “Mr Worldwide”. Many from the nearby Blackpool also followed suit on the cloudy Lancashire coast.
Special guest Lil Jon got the party pumping and warmed up the crowd for what was to follow… Pitbull arrived on stage after a 30-minute interview to a thunderous applause, launching straight into the action with “Don’t Stop the Party” and immediately proving why he is one of pop’s best live entertainers. It was 90 minutes of relentless, hit-packed adrenaline, which kept the thousands of attendants, as well as the residents who live next to Lytham Green (who were watching outside), dancing from the first beat to the last.
Backed by female dancers, towering LED screens, smoke machines and an arena-sized light show, the party continued as “Hotel Room Service,” “International Love” and “Rain Over Me” kept the momentum buzzing. Every song was met by a sea of raised hands, while the crowd enthusiastically embraced the party atmosphere that has become well known by his live shows.
Pitbull’s catalogue is built on songs designed for festivals, Ibiza DJ sets, and late-night dance floors, and on Lytham Green, the occasion landed exactly as anticipated. “I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)” as well as the World Cup 2014 anthem “We Are One (Ole, Ola) before “Feel This Moment” and “Timber” transformed the festival into one giant outside nightclub.
The set continued featuring many favourites like “On the Floor,” “I Like It” and “DJ Got Us Fallin’ in Love,” while even a brief outing for “Gasolina” sent the energy levels soaring. By the time “Fireball” exploded across the arena and “Give Me Everything” closed the night amid fireworks, confetti and one final communal singalong, there was little doubt that the Lytham Festival had ended on a high note.
Pitbull delivered his trademark rapid-fire verses flawlessly, but his charisma truly carried the evening. By constantly engaging with the crowd and thanking his fans, he turned the arena into one massive celebration. He may call himself Mr Worldwide, but on that night, he belonged entirely to Lytham.
