Title track ‘Beatbox’ is an old-school hip-hop influenced dance track showcasing NCT DREAM’s vocals as music itself with the incorporation of beatboxing. Giving off hopeful and positive vibes, the lyrics express the synergy, coolness and unique charms of NCT Dream.

Beatbox is a repackage of the group’s recently released album, Glitch Modeand features four brand-new songs in addition to the original album’s eleven tracks – ‘On the way’, ‘To My First’, ‘Sorry, Heart’ and the main track, ‘Beatbox’.

Released 28 March 2022, Glitch Mode sold over 2.1 million albums within a week of release, setting a new career-high for the group. The title track Glitch Mode has already amassed over 70 million views and counting. Glitch Mode followed hot on the heels of the successful Hot Saucewhich surpassed 3.42 million sales and topped the iTunes Top Albums chart in 37 regions globally.

Rolling Stone said NCT DREAM makes “music that feels like the future,” and wrote that the album “feels in many ways like a step into a new dimension. It spans retro hip-hop and brassy disco to silky R&B, and revels in its brash, in-your-face moments as much as its softer contemplations. There are a few moments where the guys can hear the kind of palpable growth they set out to harness.” NYLON wrote, “NCT DREAM’s colossal single ‘Glitch Mode’ glitches through genres – rap to languid pop to arena rock – and it works impressively well.” 

The album packaging for Beatbox is made of eco-friendly materials including paper certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), soybean oil ink that is easily biodegradable, and UV coatings that do not emit volatile organic compounds, therefore reducing the burden of environmental pollution. Additionally, the members each designed a digipack album cover.


NCT DREAM is a collaborative team within the umbrella of the NCT brand, which stands for “Neo Culture Technology” and is based on the concept of openness and expandability, allowing the addition of new members without limit. Consisting of members MARK, RENJUN, JENO, HAECHAN, JAEMIN, CHENLE, and JISUNG, NCT DREAM debuted in 2016. The group achieved global success with their previous EPs and singles, topping the iTunes Top Albums Chart and Billboard’s Emerging Artist Chart, and appearing on the Billboard Artist 100 chart. Additionally, NCT DREAM were featured on Billboard’s “21 Under 21: Music’s Next Generation” list for three consecutive years from 2018-2020, and were the only Asian group named in TIME’s “25 Most Influential Teens of 2018.”
