The reissued album will appear on limited edition gold vinyl, in an exclusive run of just 300 copies.

In support of the album re-release MacLeod will also play a celebratory headline show at Saint Lukes, Glasgow, on 27 December 2023. Tickets for the performance are on sale now.

Pete MacLeod’s astute, melodic music has earned him a large and loyal fanbase over the years, making him one of Scotland’s best independent music artists.

As well as hitting the top of the UK Official Charts with single ‘Firing Line’ in 2020 and supporting The Happy Mondays, MacLeod has also opened, toured and supported Jesus And Mary Chain, Cast, Ocean Colour Scene, Shed Seven, Midge Ure, Amy Macdonald and The Strypes.

Raised in the small mining town of Coatbridge, MacLeod was heavily influenced by the music of Buddy Holly, The Beatles, John Lennon and The Rolling Stones. He has been releasing music since the early 2000s, with a number of singles, EPs and albums issued on his own label.

His breakthrough came after living in California and then returning to Scotland, where he released the EP “Glasgow Keeps Me Real, California Let’s Me Heal” in early 2013, and the track ‘Rolling Stone’ from the record received strong support from BBC Radio Scotland.

MacLeod’s music caught the attention of Creation Records founder Alan McGee, who signed the artist to his newly launched 359 Music label. In late 2013, MacLeod released the ‘Rolling Stone’ album, marking his debut for 359.

Speaking about the re-release of ‘Rolling Stone’ MacLeod said: “Wow, 10 years since the release of my debut album `Rolling Stone’ eh?! Thanks to everyone for buying and listening to the album over the years. And of course for coming along to my shows to hear the songs live.

Hopefully see you all at Saint Luke’s in December to celebrate, and if you like listening to music on vinyl you can pick up the limited edition gold vinyl from my website too. This will be a very Ltd cut of 300 and will only be available from my website. As always, thanks for the love & support!”.

The limited edition vinyl re-release of ‘Rolling Stone’ marks a very special opportunity to obtain a first-ever vinyl pressing of an iconic album from this uniquely talented and much-loved Scottish artist.
