Nicola Cassells releases a new Album ‘Smile’ on 7th March

Award Winning Classical Artist Nicola Cassells, is releasing her much anticipated album ‘Smile’ on the 7th March 2021

Nicola’s much anticipated new album will send you a Smile Through Song’.

Nicola fell in love with music from an early age from the day she heard Somewhere Over The Rainbow’ for the first time. In Nicola’s own words I have been extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to share my love of performing to worldwide audience over many years, bringing me to this moment of creating this collection of some of my favourite songs”
Within this album Nicola has compiled songs which have a special place in her heart. I wanted to create an album which was uplifting and joyous to listen to”. The album includes favourites such as Come What May’ (from Moulin Rouge), ‘Never Enough’ (from The Greatest Showman), Puccini’s ‘Nessun Dorma’ and more.

Over the past year of Lockdowns, Nicola has attracted the attention of music fans worldwide since her successful online lockdown concerts went viral. Concerts to which she donated the proceeds to her chosen charities. Her heartwarming concerts brought so much joy to many during the on-going pandemic and this album is a fitting tribute to the positivity which Nicola has shared through her down-to-earth, bubbly personality and of course, her smile.

Short Biography:

Nicola Cassells, described as ‘The Girl with Golden Voice’ is a naturally gifted award- winning classical singer from Scotland. She has made a name for herself performing at many events across the UK and internationally. She had her big break in 2010 when she won the prestigious UK Retail Trust ‘Search for a Star’ competition which was held at the Grosvenor hotel in London. Nicola wowed the audience with a virtuoso performance of “Con te Partiro, Time to Say Goodbye”. Nicola recently performed at a sell-out concert at the Proms at Glamis Castle alongside the Scottish Pop Orchestra.

As well as her love of singing she dedicates a lot of time to various charities and has been keeping the busy this year with many successful online lockdown concerts to which she donated the proceeds to her chosen charities.

Nicola Cassells, described as ‘The Girl with the Golden Voice’ is a naturally gifted award- winning Classical Soprano from Scotland. Nicola has made a name for herself performing at many events across the UK and has recently made an appearance on ITV 2’s The Xtra Factor where Nicole Scherzinger described Nicola’s voice as “Incredible”. She has been nominated for Best New Artist at the Scottish Variety Awards, Young Scot of the year award and was awarded the West FM Radio’s ‘One to Watch’ Award.

Nicola has had the great privilege of performing at many events such as The Retail Trust ‘Search for a Star’ Competition Final at the Grosvenor Hotel in London in which she was crowned the winner after a ‘virtuoso’ performance of the Sarah Brightman classic Time to Say Goodbye’, in front of a 1200 crowd which included celebrities from TV, music and the leading figures from the retail industry. She then went on to perform in a few interesting and diverse places such as a shop window of The House of Fraser in Oxford St, Heathrow Terminal 5, and even performing on top of a double-decker bus at a fireworks show! Most recently Nicola performed at the Glamis Proms at Glamis Castle alongside the Scottish Pop Orchestra, one of her favourite concerts to date!

As well as her love of singing she dedicates a lot of time to various Charity events. Among these are children’s charities and organisations supporting our armed forces. Nicola is also a proud ambassador for Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland.

Nicola has been involved with various sporting events including, singing the Anthem ‘Flower of Scotland’ at Ayr racecourse, the Emirates Arena, Glasgow and also a very special performance of the British National Anthem at the Opening Ceremony for The IPC Swimming World Championships 2015 at The TollCross swimming Arena.

Nicola’s other TV and Radio Appearances include: BBC Scotland, The Glasgow Riverside Show, The Live at Five Show, an ITV morning show, the X Factor and the Xtra Factor.

Over the past year, Nicola has been keeping busy with many successful online lockdown concerts to which she donated the proceeds to her chosen charities. She has also broadcasted her talents to a worldwide audience thanks to the exclusive. online concerts hosted by The Songbirds Livestreaming Group.
