Today, Shakira released her new single “Copa Vacia” featuring Manuel Turizo – listen here! The track is accompanied by a visually stunning and fantastical music video co-directed by Shakira and longtime collaborator Jaume de la Iguana – watch here! The video made its global broadcast premiere on MTV Live, MTVU, MTV Biggest Pop and across MTV’s global network of channels, as well as on the Paramount Times Square billboards.

Shakira’s first single of 2023 “Music Sessions Vol. 53” with Bizarrap, made history debuting at #1 globally and breaking 14 Guinness World Records. It’s now the Spanish language song with most streams in history in a single day, and the 5th highest debut in Spotify history – listen here! In 24 hours, the song broke records on Spotify with over 14 million streams and on YouTube with over 52 million views. The two performed the song to an ecstatic crowd singing along on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, making it one of their highest viewed musical performances in the history of the show.

About Manuel Turizo

Manuel Turizo Zapata, born in Cordoba, Colombia, is a successful and rapidly growing young artist in the urban music genre. His musical career took off in 2018 with the release of his single “Culpables” (555 million views on YouTube). He has received gold, 4X platinum, and diamond certifications from Sony Music thanks to hits such as “Esperándote,” “Una lady como tú,” “Déjala que vuelva,” and “Bésame.”
