SHARES NEW SINGLE
‘ALL I EVER ASKED’
“Touches of southern soul and soft rock merge in this plea for respect in a relationship, one that glows ever brighter as the Croydon singer-songwriter’s harmonies stack higher and higher” – The Guardian
London based singer-songwriter Rachel Chinouriri has shared her new single ‘All I Ever Asked’ via Atlas Artists Recordings/Parlophone, which was premiered as Clara Amfo’s Hottest Record In The World on BBC Radio 1. Recorded and complete with a Super 8 style video shot in LA, ‘All I Ever Asked’ is a gorgeously wistful meditation on knowing your own worth and asking someone you love to appreciate you.
About the track Rachel says: ‘All I Ever Asked’ was inspired by a breakup my friend was going through and it made me reflect on a similar situation I was going through too. The feeling of asking someone you love to respect you in the simplest form and realising it’s the bare minimum. It’s also about realising your own worth and not settling for someone who cannot be what you need.”

The release of ‘All I Ever Asked’ follows Rachel’s critically lauded 2021 EP Four° In Winter, and her consistently impressive output has seen her praised across the likes of BBC Radio 1, The Guardian, Dazed, NME, theneedledrop’s Anthony Fantano who named the EP his #1 project of 2021 and Michaela Coel who featured her collaboration with Subculture on her critically acclaimed series ‘I May Destroy You’. Chinouriri has supported the likes of Celeste, Sam Fender, Lianne La Havas and last year played four spellbinding intimate shows at London’s St Pancras Old Church.
