Global superstars BLACKPINK will be lighting up American Express presents BST Hyde Park this summer on Sunday 2 July as the first K-pop group in history to headline a major UK festival. This legendary day just got even more exciting, as BST Hyde Park share more names heading to the Rainbow Stage including Rebecca Black, Peach PRC, Mazie, Annika Bennett, Sarah Crean and Spider. They join previously announced special guests Sabrina Carpenter, The Rose, Caity Baser and Mae Stephens. More tickets are available across the BST Hyde Park shows, visit www.bst-hydepark.com

Rebecca Black will be making her BST Hyde Park debut on the Rainbow stage. Since 2011, ‘Friday’ singer Black has forged an incredible career in music, as a YouTuber and personality, with over 3 million followers across TikTok, Instagram and YouTube and featuring in some of the biggest pop culture moments of the 2010s. She is also a vocal advocate for the importance of mental health and bravely talks about the impact of cyberbullying after her own experiences. Black is now officially solidifying her place as a mature singer songwriter, having released the EP Rebecca Black Was Here in 2021 and her debut solo album Let Her Burn in February 2023.

Australian TikTok superstar, Peach PRC, will also be joining the line-up. The pop singer, songwriter and social media star independently released her debut single ‘Blondes’ in 2019, which gained her global attention. Peach has since been credited as one of the most successful Australian creators on TikTok, with 2 million followers and more than 145 million likes. Peach’s debut EP Manic Dream Pixie was released in April 2023, and she will be bringing her new music and huge following with her this year to BST.

US pop artist Mazie has been hailed as the next evolution of psychedelic pop, with her unique arrangements that pull from pop, punk and electronic music. Mazie initially rose to fame with the release of her 2021 song ‘dumb dumb’, which was featured in the Netflix original film Do Revenge and now has over 250 million global streams. In her 2023 debut album blotter baby, Mazie tackles early 20s heartbreak and a Gen-Z doom mindset through ‘60s and ‘70s inspired pop hooks.

The list doesn’t end there, with even more acts joining on the Rainbow Stage. Award-winning singer-songwriter Annika Bennett has written for major names including Bülow, Ashley Kutcher, Goody Grace, Walk Off The Earth and more. She is now bringing her own voice to the stage and is currently touring with Sabrina Carpenter. Plus Sarah Crean, a Dublin-based musician who rose to fame with her enormous breakout hit ‘2AM’, which topped US Spotify viral chart in November last year. She’s back again with her new single ‘What Do I Know?’, solidifying her as one of the most exciting names on the rise right now. Also SPIDER, a 21-year-old artist and producer from Ireland, whose new EP Hell or High Water brings her distinct and powerful voice as a young person of colour to the world of alt-pop.

These incredible additions join previously announced American popstar Sabrina Carpenter, South Korean indie-rock band The Rose, TikTok superstar Caity Baser and English singer songwriter Mae Stephens, making this legendary moment in pop even more unmissable.

BLACKPINK at BST Hyde Park will go down in history, joining its past iconic once-in-a-lifetime shows. They join headliners P!NK (24 + 25 June), Guns N’ Roses (30 June), Take That (1 July), Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band (6 + 8 July), Billy Joel (7 July) and Lana Del Rey (9 July) on the BST Hyde Park billing for 2023.

BST Hyde Park’s hugely popular summer event Open House is back for another year, for eight days across 23 June – 5 July. Open House offers FREE access to BST Hyde Park and there’s truly something for everyone! Including All Things Orchestral on Friday 23 June, presented by Myleene Klass and featuring Alfie Boe, Chef’s Table at The House of Peroni Nastro Azzurro by Mob, Yoga in the Park powered by lululemon, Outdoor Cinema presented by British Airways Highlife Entertainment, and much more.

In 2022 BST Hyde Park saw three monumental weekends of music, which began with Rocketman himself Elton John performing as a part of his Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour. The Rolling Stones were reunited with Hyde Park for two incredible sell out nights, with an emotional and triumphant tribute to the late Charlie Watts. Tottenham’s global star Adele brought it home for “a career best comeback” (The i) at BST Hyde Park for two shows with an incredible all female line up. The Sunday vibes were offered up by Americana legends Eagles and Pearl Jam provided two packed nights of rock n roll. Finally, Britain’s best loved groups Duran Duran closed the final night with a day of singalong smash hits. Last year’s festival had been a long time coming and will go down in BST Hyde Park history forever.

About BLACKPINK:

One of the most massively successful K-pop groups in music history, BLACKPINK have redefined the global pop landscape since first bursting onto the scene in 2016. Along with boasting the #1 most-subscribed artist channel on YouTube, the South Korean quartet has achieved such boundary-defying milestones as scoring the highest-charting album by a female group in over a decade and becoming the first K-pop girl group ever to perform at Coachella (the largest music festival in the U.S.). Comprised of JISOO, JENNIE, ROSÉ and LISA — all immensely charismatic vocalists, dancers, and fast-rising fashion icons — BLACKPINK began their meteoric rise with their 2016 debut ‘SQUARE ONE’ and further proved their crossover power with ‘SQUARE UP’ (a 2018 release that quickly cracked the Billboard 200).

Soon after signing with Interscope Records through a global partnership with YG Entertainment, the group made their full-length debut with 2020’s immediately iconic THE ALBUM. THE ALBUM shot to #2 on the Billboard 200 and landed three singles on the Billboard Hot 100: ‘How You Like That’ (the iconic single that shattered several YouTube records, including fastest video to cross 150 million views), ‘Ice Cream’ (a collaboration with Selena Gomez that broke the record for highest-charting female K-pop group on the Hot 100), and ‘Lovesick Girls’ (a track that’s sold over 1.4 million copies worldwide, making BLACKPINK the first K-pop girl group to sell over a million units). Through the years, BLACKPINK have also garnered a number of major awards (including three E! People’s Choice Awards and most recently awarded Best Metaverse Performance at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards where Lisa also made history as first K-pop soloist to win Best K-pop Act), collaborated with superstars like Dua Lipa and Lady Gaga, and starred in BLACKPINK: Light Up the Sky (a 2020 film hailed by the New York Times as an “endearing documentary that emphasizes each member’s individuality”). With over 9 billion career Spotify streams to date, BLACKPINK delivered their wildly anticipated sophomore album BORN PINK in September. The group are now on the road for their 2022/2023 [BORN PINK] world tour, coming to Europe in July.
