Justin Currie (Del Amitri) ‘A strident defence of the power of love in the age of anger, ‘Do It With Love’ has the energy of a steel mill with a heart of melodic gold.’
Rough Trade Records ‘Full of upbeat and uplifting pop – perfect for all seasons.’
Natasha Sharp, Radio Scotland ‘Timeless sound that warms the cockles just when you need it.’
Clash ‘Among the finest of the current crop.’
Stevie Jackson (Belle & Sebastian) ‘Hands down one of the finest singers Scotland has ever produced and a singular songwriting talent. Poetry infused with humanity, insights and great tunes.’

Starry Skies have announced the release of Do It With Love – the fourth single and title track from their critically acclaimed third album. The nine-track project was released at the end of last year and follows 2018’s Be Kind and 2012’s Ask The Animals.

Do It With Love, the latest single to be taken from the album, is testament to the band’s reputation as purveyors of unifying pop-tinged joy. “I’m a part of a screen-zombie generation, never looking up to see,” frontman Warren McIntyre sings with earnest clarity. “We’ve got to fix it with love,” he continues as the track builds into a dazzling, string-laden final chorus. True to form, the single matches upbeat, sixties-esque indie-folk music with a deep-rooted exploration of life in the modern world.

The Glasgow-based outfit of seven are renowned for their captivating live shows and have played in some of the UK’s most loved venues including Liverpool’s Cavern, Glasgow’s King Tuts and London’s Rough Trade East. Warren McIntyre, AKA ‘Warren Starry Sky’, founder and songwriter for the band, has previously supported Snow Patrol, The Vaselines, Belle and Sebastian, Teenage Fanclub and Chas ‘n Dave.
