The Script are on stage, a single spotlight picks out the frontman Danny, in front of the stage facing the large crowd screaming and shouting from the adoring fans. You could see and also feel this emotional moment as it’s been some time since The Script has performed to the Glasgow crowd.

The instrumental music playing in the background creates a fabulous build-up with excitement from the crowd, the pyros set off sending confetti fire and rain down on the fans, and the first song from their setlist “Superheroes” is a great start to the night full of energy.

Danny and Mark were constantly engaged with the crowd moving to the left and right of the stage It was then with the performance of “ Painting the Town Green”

Danny announced “why does it feel every time we play in Scotland it feels like a hometown show ” Is it because we are all mad as hell or that we are all Celts” I don’t know there is always a bit of madness in the air so let’s get the Colours out “

They perform the first part of this track on the main stage and during an instrumental part of the song once again pyro cannons set off confetti in the air and the band get hold of percussion instruments and drums and takes themself marching off the stage through the pit area and well into the crowd towards a second smaller, stage banging on drums and into the middle of the crowd which allowed the fans to get a more intimate interaction and for those up the further levels of the arena to see the band perform more songs.

Danny then sat on the small stage and then performedThe Man Who Couldn’t Be Moved“, the crowd singing along and then onto Before The Worst” and “The Last Time. what an amazing section of the show, truly engaging and the crowd loved it.

Danny at one point reaches to a fan and takes her phone and talks to someone on the phone and has a video chat, this is how good the band is with the adoring fans, and getting so close the enjoyment from everyone was noted and has to be one of the best nights in the OVO Hydro in Glasgow in many years
