NOFX announce last ever European shows with two nights at Brixton Academy
40 Years, 40 cities, 40 songs each night. Fat Mike and the boys say goodbye in style!
NOFX hit the UK in June for one last time, well actually two! Following on from 2023’s Farewell Appearances in Leeds last summer, promoter JS Promotions has announced that the LA punk outfit will play two nights at Brixton Academy, with a different set and supporting cast each night. It promises to be a great end to 40 years of NOFX, with the band slated to perform 40 songs each night. And to make it even more special they’ll be bringing along some punk rock legends to make it a veritable party, with 4 supports each night.
The first night, June 11th sees them play the following in full: Punk In Drublic (1994), Wolves In Wolves Clothing (2006) and Pump Up The Valuum (2000). Supporting will be Fat Mike’s new band Codefendants, featuring Ceschi and Sam King of fellow Californians Get Dead, (also on Fat Wreck Chords) and Descendents. Completing the line up are UK hardcore band Last Hounds.
NB: Pulley were originally lined up but have had to pull out. No announcement has yet been made about their replacements yet.
The second night, June 12th will predominantly consist of White Trash, Two Heebs and a Bean (1992), So Long and Thanks for All the Shoes (1997) and The Decline EP (1999). The Fat Wreck/California links continue with fellow Americans Circle Jerks, and The Last Gang being joined by Brit punk legends Snuff (Fat Wreck) and up and coming Essex duo The Meffs, who are one of Fat Mikes first signings to the Bottles To The Ground imprint that he and the rest of NOFX have set up to promote non-Fat Wreck type artists.
DJ’ing both nights is UK Punk legend Matt Stocks.
