Blue Ridge Rock Festival 2020 is 100% a GO for September 18th-20th

Blue Ridge Rock Festival 2020 Announcement

“Your Voice. Your Festival.”

As I assessed an ever changing world, and a music industry fighting relentlessly to persevere; I found myself pausing to consistently view situations through the perspective of you the fan over the past three weeks. We have waited on making a statement until now, because seeing the devastation and uncertainty in the lives of so many has motivated me more than ever to identify and implement ways for Blue Ridge to serve however possible. This is going to be a long statement, but I encourage you to take a few moments to read through it. We are not going to proceed with business as usual on our end. We are going to be as proactive as possible to combat the negative effects COVID-19 is having on our World. Blue Ridge is not just about three days of rock n roll, it’s about cultivating an experience that touches each of your lives positively in such a way that that the impact is not such another short term high, but is something felt long term. This was a mission I laid out to every one internally at the start of 2020. Now, I believe it is more applicable than ever to share it.

Blue Ridge Rock Festival 2020 is 100% a GO for September 18th – 20th in Appomattox, VA. In light of the impact the Coronavirus is having on our economy, here is what we are doing for you:

🀘🏽 IN THE EVENT OF A CANCELLATION? We want to be explicitly clear here. Given that Blue Ridge is almost six months away, we are in a much safer boat from the Festivals cancelling in April and May. However, in the unlikely event that Blue Ridge Rock Festival 2020 is cancelled, a FULL REFUND will be provided to each of you. We are a Fan Driven Festival. Consumers can purchase with confidence, as your ticket money is secured. 100% of ticket revenue is currently being held by this year’s ticketing outlet, Etix, the #1 independent ticketing company in the country. They will be able to swiftly refund each of you in the event a cancellation was to take place.

🀘🏽CAMPING: Both Tent and RV Camping prices will NO longer increase to any higher price tiers. Our initial opening prices will remain the same for the entire duration. Our record setting low price for a 4 Night On-Site Tent Camping is just $100. Up to four fans can camp on this site. FREE Parking is included! We are blessed that our new venue is a whopping 552 acres. So, not only will we be maintaining low prices here, but we will have a staggering high amount of camping inventory to ensure that fans have ample opportunity to secure very affordable lodging around Blue Ridge. We know this is often the expense that pushes many fans over the edge and unable to afford attending a Festival. We have put these measures into place to combat this.

🀘🏽 GA TICKETS: We are going to extend the $85 price point for our 3-Day GA Pass indefinitely. PLUS, this pass will now give you FREE access to a massive Pre-Party the night before featuring 3 sizable National Artists. More information on this can be found below.. Unfortunately, there is a point in which we will have to increase the ticket price to the next tier in order to keep the Festival going, but we are going to extend our trademark lowest ticket price in rock as long as humanly possible.

🀘🏽 ARTIST ANNOUNCEMENTS will resume next week! Just as we approached several key releases for our 2020 lineup, COVID-19 began to hit the U.S. In response to this, we immediately put artist announcements on hold. This is something that absolutely killed us to do, but our Nation was adjusting to an unrecognizable reality and it seemed insensitive of us to not acknowledge that and allow everyone to shift their focus to their families, careers, and health. I want to personally thank each of the agents, managers, and all of the members that comprise each artist’s team for their continued work alongside me to facilitate this year’s Festival. As many of you may know, the Live Event Business is one of the industries that is suffering the most right now. I applaud everyone’s efforts to join together as a community and navigate these unprecedented times. I hope our BRRF Family will join with us to love on these artists as much as we can at this year’s Festival.

🀘🏽 LINEUP: Speaking of Artists, I cannot begin to express how excited we are to reveal our 2020 Lineup to each of you. In year’s past, Blue Ridge planning did not start until 4-7 months before the Festival. That grossly limited artist availability for us. This year, we started a full 11 months in advance. This allowed us to really hone in on the feedback from our fans to curate a Lineup tailor-made to the our Blue Ridge Rock Festival Fan Base. I have poured more hours than I thought possible into this aspect alone this year. I humbly believe we have assembled a lineup that is far and above our strongest yet, but more importantly, encapsulates what you the Fan truly want to see.

🀘🏽 PRE-PARTY: As of a few days ago, plans have been finalized for a Thursday Pre-Party featuring some of your favorite performances from our first 3 years. Better yet? These artists were hand selected via your feedback! Better still? This concert is FREE to all 3-Day Ticketholders!

🀘🏽CHARITABLE PARTNERS: We have officially signed on with one charity, and are closing in on terms with two more for 2020.. Once all of the details are complete, we will share with you all how we are going to support the organizations, in advance and on-site, to provide further tangible help to individuals suffering in our greater region. We will also let you all know how you can be involved, if you are interested in taking that next step with us.

🚨 GIVEAWAY 🚨 Tag a Concert/Festival Warrior in the Comments Below! We will select THREE winners to each Win a 4 Night On-Site Camping Pass! *Remember: Each Camp Site can accommodate up to Four people + Includes FREE Parking all Festival long!

I have said this before, but I will say it again: YOU Matter. Yes, YOU who is reading this right now. We are a small, independent team. Every comment you make. Every friend you tell. Every post you share. Every message you send us. They register on the richter scale. Every ticket, campsite, parking pass, locker, hotel package, or piece of merchandise purchased…they truly matter. We feel every sale. Each purchase has a significant influence on the Festival’s ability to continue in future years. If you have any ideas of how we can better serve you, please let us know in the comments.

We each share the same love for Rock n’ Roll. It is that love that many of are turning to now. This September, we will unite around this unbreakable bond that forges our incredible Community together and is the soundtrack to our battles daily.

It is our grit, our heart, and our community that gives me confidence that we can defeat this pandemic, together. We will Overcome.
