WHAT’S ON – LIVE AT THE LONGLIST WILL ANNOUNCE TWENTY OUTSTANDING SCOTTISH ALBUMS THIS THURSDAY

The SAY Award – Live at the Longlist

What: Exclusive YouTube Premiere reveal of the 20 outstanding Scottish albums which will make up the SAY Award Longlist for 2021. Each record will be in the running for the coveted title of Scottish Album of the Year, as well as the £20,000 first prize.

SAY 2021 – THE STATS

  • Over 10 years, The SAY Award has distributed over £250,000 in prize money to Scottish musicians
  • Celebrated 180 Longlisted albums from the likes of The Twilight Sad, Calvin Harris, CHVRCHES, Lewis Capaldi, Kathryn Joseph, Young Fathers, Paolo Nutini, Anna Meredith
  • 327 eligible album submissions for 2021’s award – all released during the pandemic. Eligible albums submitted from Amy Macdonald, Arab Strap, Biffy Clyro, Del Amitri, Glasvegas, The Fratellis, Joesef, Mogwai, The Snuts, Teenage Fanclub, Texas and more
  • Longlist will be eligible for £20k prize, with 9 runners up on the Shortlist receiving £1,000
  • Public can vote for their favourite album from 27th – 29th September via sayaward.com to secure a place on the 2021 Shortlist
  • Music fans can also purchase tickets for the Ceremony taking place on Saturday 23rd October at the Usher Hall, Edinburgh via sayaward.com – more info on this to come soon
