WILL YOUNG ANNOUNCES SEASON TWO OF
THE WELLBEING LAB PODCAST
AND HAS BECOME PATRON OF MENTAL HEALTH CHARITY, SHOUT
SERIES STARTS TODAY
Today, Will Young announces the second season of The Wellbeing Lab, a podcast that explores mental health with the help of listeners and experts, launching on March 28th with weekly episodes dropping every Tuesday.
Following the successful first season of The Wellbeing Lab, Will invites different experts to continue the conversations around confidence, psychedelics, ADHD, self-hatred, gut health, generational trauma, family systems and more. Previous episodes looked at topics including shopping addiction, creating boundaries, body dysmorphia, cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), trauma and obsessive-compulsive disorders (OCD) and more. The podcast encourages listeners to engage and share their own experiences, alongside those of the expert physicians and guests.
Will says: “I’m so happy to bring back a new season of The Wellbeing Lab. I’ve loved meeting people who tell me how certain episodes have helped them, and I love the interaction with listeners who have come up with brilliant suggestions of topics for me to explore. I hope we can all learn from the experts in their field, and hopefully shed some light on the subjects we all want to know more about.”
With the ultimate goal of helping listeners feel less alone and change the ways in which we talk about mental health, Will has created a safe, fun, curious and understanding space through The Wellbeing Lab.
Continuing his engagement across wellbeing and mental health issues, Will has recently taken on the patronage for the charity Shout, the UK’s only free, confidential text message support service that is available 24/7 to anyone experiencing a mental health crisis. Launched in 2019, the service has since taken 1.8 million conversations with 630K children, young people and adults who were struggling to cope. Since winning Pop Idol in 2002, Will has gone on to become the most successful contestant to ever appear on the show, with over 10 million records sold, 8 UK Top 3 albums including his recent 2021 album Crying On The Bathroom Floor and 2022’s 20 Years – The Greatest Hits. His two mental health focused books, To Be A Gay Man and the Sunday Times Bestseller Be Yourself and Happier: The A-Z of Wellbeing have received considerable praise and acclaim.
