NEW EPISODE OF ‘THE TOM GRENNAN PHONE IN’ PODCAST FEATURING VICKY MCCLURE OUT NOW

Following the release of his stunning new single ‘Here’, added straight to the BBC Radio One playlist upon its release, Tom Grennan has shared the official music video for the track.

Symbolising a story of solidarity in trying times and a crucial message of togetherness, ‘Here’ is the latest single to be revealed from the chart-topping BRIT and Ivor Novello-nominated star’s anticipated third album, ‘What Ifs & Maybes’, out on 9th June 2023 via Insanity Records.

Shot through the lens of Tom Grennan’s photo booth, the new music video for ‘Here’ sees an array of characters stepping inside as a new world of memories unfolds through their own unique stories and experiences. Watch ‘Here’.

Speaking about the new single, Tom said: “With what’s going on in the world, with so many people struggling, affected financially, by COVID, by loads of different things, it’s one of those songs that helps you believe that there is somebody in your life that is going to be there for you in the struggle. There’s the battle of everything. But when it’s shared with somebody else, you’re doing it together, not just on your own. So that’s what it’s about: if I’m here for you, then please be here for me.”

Speaking about the new video for ‘Here’, director Sayna Fardaraghi said:

“I’ve always wanted to create an intimate connection between complete strangers through shared memories, moments and experiences – a photobooth for me is the perfect microcosm for that.

This photobooth is a room that experiences the good, the vulnerable, and sometimes the bad. It’s that ephemeral moment that we’ve all had at some point in our lives, and bringing that to the screen accompanied by Tom’s incredible song, his energy and the array of featured talent has been a pleasure to work with. This video is a reminder of a connection amongst us all. Strangers or not.

ps: the photobooth will always be here for you”

‘What Ifs & Maybes’ is the story of Tom Grennan living his best creative life. An artist who knows he’s just finished writing and recording the biggest, boldest, best set of songs of his shooting-star career. A songwriter with a purpose, to embrace, encourage and lift listeners with lyrical positivity, brightness – and sky-scraping choruses to sing to the rafters. His high-flying, mood-boosting third album is a set of songs energised by the fact that, at work, at play, at home, he’s blissfully happy. Galvanised by the potential that anything – thrillingly – can happen.

On naming the album, Tom said: “I’ve called the album What Ifs & Maybes because you never know what’s going to happen. So go with your gut. Go with your heart, not your head. Sometimes the unknown brings love and beauty and colour. Don’t be afraid to jump into the unknown. It’s exciting!”

The news of Tom’s new album comes shortly after he was nominated for the 2023 BRIT Award for Alternative Rock/Rock Act, rounding off a pivotal year and marking his third consecutive BRIT nomination following Song of the Year with Mastercard for his international smash hit ‘Little Bit Of Love’, and Alternative/Rock Act, at the 2022 ceremony.

‘What Ifs & Maybes’ follows the success of Tom’s breakthrough UK #1 and BRIT-certified GOLD album ‘Evering Road’, which included platinum-selling anthems ‘Little Bit Of Love’ and ‘By Your Side’ — both of which scored in the Top Three most played songs of 2021. Tom already counts four UK Top 10 singles to his name. And a hat-trick of his 2022 songs, ‘Remind Me’, ‘Not Over Yet’ with KSI and ‘Lionheart (Fearless)’ with Joel Corry, have all been named in The Biggest Songs of 2022 by The Official Big Top 40.

Beginning in March 2023, the What Ifs & Maybes UK Tour will see Tom perform his first headline arena shows, including London’s O2, and has already seen Tom praised for his efforts to keep ticket prices low and accessible for all fans. Tom and his team worked to pull the cost of tickets down, dismissing all VIP and platinum ticket options across the tour.

Tom’s first headline arena shows will follow a 2022 live season of global proportions. Stepping up to festival headliner status in front of a 30,000 capacity crowd at Godiva Festival, and completing a sold-out headline tour of North America and two of Australia, where he is recognised as a double-platinum artist. Performing to huge crowds on the Isle Of Wight Festival mainstage, a homecoming headline show to 15,000 fans at Bedford Park, the Radio 1 Big Weekend, Margate’s Dreamland, TRNSMT, Kendall Calling, Boardmasters and more.

Also released today is the latest episode of Tom’s hilarious new phone-in podcast show, ‘The Tom Grennan Phone In’, featuring Vicky McClure. The first episode with JaackMaate shot to  #1 on Spotify’s Top Music Podcasts and straight into Apple’s Top #10. In each episode Tom welcomes a special guest into his studio for a fun, free-roaming conversation, opening up his studio phone lines for friends and fans to call in and join the chat. Future episodes are set to include Roman Kemp, Mimi Webb, Zara McDermott and more.

The official music video for ‘Here’ sees Tom Grennan wearing Sony’s new LinkBuds S “Earth Blue”, Sony’s smallest and lightest noise cancelling wireless headphones, made from recycled plastic water dispensers.

Speaking about the video shoot, Tom added: “Shoutout to Sony for linking up with me for the ‘Here’ video. I’ve been a fan of their stuff for a while now so being asked to try out the Linkbuds S was an easy yes. The sound quality is insane and they’re so light, I can wear them all day long.”
