Festival goers will need to download the app and switch on their notifications to know when these exclusive performances will take place.

This promises to be a series of unforgettable intimate experiences across the weekend for music fans.
Rising soul star Joesef, sublime surrealist Terra Kin and Glasgow’s folk collectiveAdmiral Fallow are amongst the names which have been announced to play stripped back, acoustic performances at the Tiny Changes X Gardeners Cottage across the weekend. Taking place 26th – 28th August at Edinburgh’s Royal Highland Centre, Connect is a new festival experience that will feature the best in up-and-coming talent and award-winning headliners. Fans can secure their tickets here.
Joesef, Guitars and Other Machines Headliner on the Friday says “I’m buzzing to be playing an acoustic set for Tiny Changes at Connect Festival. It’s incredible to see what Scott’s [Hutchison] friends and family have created in his memory. The work they have done and continue to do for children and young people with mental health issues is so inspiring”

Tiny Changes is a charity for supporting young people’s mental health, set up in memory of Frightened Rabbit singer Scott Hutchison. Scott performed at the original Connect Festival with Frightened Rabbit back in 2007 on a similar stage, so it’s a special full circle moment for all involved. Tiny Changes is Scott’s legacy and Scotland’s very first national children and young people’s mental health charity funding projects and ideas that help young minds feel better.
The Tiny Changes team are excited to bring this special event to the Royal Highland Centre this August, with CEO Kara Brown saying:
“Tiny Changes is so excited to be this year’s Connect charity partner and add something extra special to the festival together, inspired by Scott and helping young minds feel better. Without the support of the music industry and music fans, we wouldn’t have the national youth work presence we do today, and we’re just getting started.”
Katt Lingard, Connect Project Manager says: “We’ve created a beautiful, intimate, and completely unique setting for festival goers to connect with some of their favourite acts from across our line-up. The Tiny Changes Cottage will feature exclusive acoustic performances from firm favourites, grassroots talent – and some very secret sets to be announced throughout the weekend – this is a corner of the festival like no other and all for a very good cause – We can’t wait for you to experience it with us.”
TINY CHANGES, BIG MOMENTS
Amongst the artists announced are ‘soul-pop hero’ Joesef, with his jazz infused vocals and breathtaking stage presence, he has been compared to the likes of Amy Winehouse and Adele. Catch Lizzie Reid and her confessional, nuanced lyrics tackling themes of love, loss, and modern life – a newcomer on Glasgow’s music scene she has quickly amassed a devoted following thanks to her debut single ‘Bible’ released earlier this year. Terra Kin is set to bring a euphoric, dreamy mix of blissful guitar and soaring vocals to the Tiny Changes X Gardeners Cottage, followed by Raveloe, No Windows, andJames Liandu. Liandu, a singer songwriter hailing from Dundee recently dropped his debut EP ‘Sad: The New Happy’ to plenty of buzz, catch his transcendent mix of Afro-House beats and acoustic guitar. Recently signed to Frightened Rabbit’s Andy Monaghan’s record label, Lewis McLaughlin’s life-affirming feel-good folk tunes will have you misty eyed and beaming with joy all at once. Djana Gabrielle is up next, it was while backpacking across Europe that Djana began constructing the synthesis of what would become her artistic expression, catch her soothing, melodious anthems at Connect. Admiral Fallow, the Glasgow folk collective, will make their way to the intimate Tiny Changes X Gardeners Cottage. Watch as their joyous, woodwind-tinged sound lends itself to the stage’s rustic surroundings. With more special guests to be announced throughout the festival weekend, it is an unmissable one-off event providing unforgettable moments for music fans.
To be the first to know about the secret sets, fans must download the Connect App from the app store and turn on their notifications, so they don’t miss out on the chance to catch these very special moments.
