Margo Price – That’s How Rumours Get Started – Album Review
That’s How Rumours Get Started is the third studio album from Margo Price. Consisting of ten songs, each either written or co-written by Price, it’s a good album with modern lyrics and classic sounds – there are many obvious nods to the music she listened to growing up.
Starting with the title track, the album leads you through a collection of songs with influences from Stevie Nicks, Fleetwood Mac and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers to a little ‘80s pop-rock. This record has a great sound for the summer without being one you would not want to listen to on a rainy November day.
Whilst it took a few listens to get into, it’s worth the time. Margo’s sweet voice gets to you, and after a while, you can’t get songs like Stone Me and Prisoner of the Highway out of your head.
