The sun made a welcome appearance as fans basked in a day of glorious weather and incredible live music for day two of Pepsi MAX presents TRNSMT, with Kasabian, The Snuts, Sonny Fodera, The Frattelis and a secret set from Twin Atlantic delivering a sensational Saturday.

The day kicked off with a tartan-clad Rianne Downey, who opened the Main Stage, with a beautiful rendition of Will you Go Lassie Go and her own hit Lost in Blue, as the singer-songwriter thanked the early revellers for coming out after last night’s late Scotland match.

Over on the King Tut’s stage, young Lanarkshire rockers The Rooks drew in the crowds after friends and family helped promote their early set time, inviting fans to see stars of the future.
Although fewer Scotland tops were spotted amongst the buoyant crowd than Friday’s big football party, there were still plenty of fans flying the flag.
Hometown heroes, The Fratellis took to the stage as they celebrated 20 years since their debut album, Costello Music. As well as huge hits, Chelsea Dagger and Henrietta, as well as their cover of Tartan Army favourite, Yes Sir I can Boogie, which was lapped up by the crowd.
All-female punk rockers, The Last Dinner Party, brought their energetic swagger to the Main Stage, with bassist, Georgia Davies giving fans a moment to savour celebrating toasting the crowd with a cold beer.
VIP fans were treated to an impromptu DJ set from Karen Dunbar, with the comedy legend spinning party anthems in the sun.
Around 4.30pm, the moment fans in The Hangout had waited for arrived as this year’s secret set was unveiled to a huge reception.
Twin Atlantic roared onto the intimate stage with a full-on performance that saw frontman Sam McTrusty dive into the crowd, which included family and friends. The band also proclaimed it would be their dream to one day headline TRNSMT, as they revealed new music was in the works.
The Snuts drew in a huge crowd as they belted out anthems Always, Glasgow, and Seasons. Ahead of their set they sprinkled some joy around the Main Stage, leaving flowers for fans that promoted their new album, and Clementine Douglas brought Blessing to the King Tut’s stage.
Kasabian brought the curtains down on a fantastic day, the band were once again on Fire as they brought classic hits along with their huge new track with Calvin Harris, Release The Pressure.

Geoff Ellis, CEO of DF Concerts, said: “The sun was out for a sensational Saturday at TRNSMT. After a late night of football, fans dusted themselves off and brought amazing energy to Glasgow Green from the moment the gates opened.
“A standout moment from the day was Twin Atlantic’s secret set at The Hangout.
“The Fratellis, The Last Dinner Party, The Snuts and Sonny Fodera all got the crowd dancing and set up for Kasabian who were simply outstanding as Saturday night’s headliners. There’s a reason why they are such a festival favourite.
“It’s been an incredible weekend so far and we’re looking forward to another day in the Glasgow sunshine tomorrow.”

Pasta truck’s big arrival
Jude Smith, 35, from Uddington will forever remember his TRNSMT debut. Just hours ahead of opening his pasta truck ‘Sonny’s’, Jude and wife Lauri welcomed their baby girl to the world, who was born at 5.45am.
The pasta station inspired by his two-year-old son, Sonny, began serving fresh Italian dishes in the VIP area from midday on Friday, with Jude only running on a few hours sleep.
Jude said: “My wife (Lauri) was a week overdue, she went into labour at 1am on Friday, we had our wee baby girl who was born at 5.45am yesterday morning.
“So on Thursday [the night before opening] I stayed up all night and then had to come in here on Friday, done a full shift. I think I’ve had 6 hours of sleep in the past three days. I’m running on empty but it’s all been worth it.
“Everyone’s healthy, they’ve just been released from the hospital today. I was there first thing this morning ‘visiting’.”
Despite the lack of sleep, Jude says he’s buzzing with his first TRNSMT experience, with fans tucking into specials, including a popular beef ragu option.
Jude who also works in the Govan shipyards, only launched his business in January and has served local events in Uddingston.
He added: “It’s been an absolute whirlwind. I’ll always remember this one.
“This is worth it man, it’s some buzz – the sun’s out.
“We’ve not got a name yet, we’re open to suggestions. I’ve been looking at the TRNSMT line-up for some inspiration, I quite liked the sound of Brogeal for a wee girl – but then everybody would just spend her full life asking ‘what does it mean?’
“Anytime I suggest one to my wife – she says no. She’s not taking Kasabian either.
He joked, “It’s impeccable timing. I started this in January, mostly we’re based in Uddingston, we work in different festivals.
“We do local clubs, we’re doing Summer Sessions, doing a big music festival.”
Lucas Flaherty, 22, was at the festival with pals, Olivia and Alfie, in their 20s from East Kilbride.
Lucas said: “We’ve seen some great acts over the past two days. We loved Nile Rodgers last night, we were all dancing, the songs were great. It was something different.
“It’s great to see the sun out today, looking forward to seeing Brogeal. Just relaxing and having a great time.
“The Rooks were brilliant, they had friends and family trying to get folk to go over and see them. They had an early set on King Tut’s but they rocked it.”
The pals were all trying to get their hands on a coveted Pepsi MAX bucket hat, on offer at a special karaoke pop-up.
Lucas added: “We’ve been four times to win a bucket hat, but we’ve not had any luck yet.”
